Things of Lore: An Exhibition by Ian Nettleton

Join us on February 16 at the RUNAWAY Store & Gallery from 6pm-9pm for our first exhibition of the year featuring New York-based artist Ian Nettleton.

"I’m a big fan of a good bar story or a fascinating snippet of conversation overheard in public. These things can’t be fact-checked or googled.

These pieces are amalgamations of stories, myths and lore. Some ancient, some modern. Some that I’ve picked up over time, others that are my own experiences. Whether it’s balancing color and shapes to create abstract visuals that invoke a feeling or using an illustrative approach to create characters, it’s all in service of blending the visual with the ethereal to celebrate these things of lore. "
