RUNAWAYS WELCOME
Posted on 01 February 2017
The sweeping prohibition of people from seven majority-Muslim nations traveling to the United States stands in stark opposition to the values we hold as a team, as Americans and as citizens of the world. These actions taken by the Trump administration are a total rejection of basic human decency and civility.
Our founding members were born right here in Durham, a sanctuary city for immigrants and refugees. Values of diversity, inclusion, and respect were instilled in us from birth and reinforced throughout our upbringing. Surrounded by friends and peers from across the globe, many of whom come from first and second generation immigrant families, we learned to treat others as we would want to be treated, no matter our differences.
Our values as a company are greatly influenced by our beliefs in inclusion and social justice. We will continue to stand tall against intolerance and bigotry while creating safe community spaces.
Sincerely,
Gabe, Justin, Becky, Holland and Ryan
